A “Slack themes” website inspired by the distinct style of film director Wes Anderson.

With his new film coming out this Friday I thought it would be fun to brighten up people’s workspace this week!

As a huge fan of Anderson’s work, particularly his use of color and typography, I thought it would fun to translate that into something people could use daily - in this case, Slack themes.

Despite being a full-time founder and a father (Happy Father’s Day to all!), I managed to sneak out this fun little hobby project over the last few weekends. One of the most time-consuming parts of the project - and ironically one that doesn’t affect the end themes - was the search for Google fonts that mimic Anderson’s style. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the budget to license Futura and other but am really happy with the end result!

I hope this site adds a little joy to your week, perhaps even prompting you to revisit some of your favorite Wes Anderson films.
